Bay Head
Today and Yesterday a Little History
The small village of Bay Head was originally settled by patricians who built their grand summer "cottages” here. When the railroad came in 1882, large numbers of visitors and settlers came with it. Since then, not much has been altered in the Village. This quaint, rustic haven still offers the graciousness and peaceful calm of a bygone era-with its pristine beaches, stately homes, antique shops, art galleries, fine eating establishments, and a Victorian ice cream parlor.
